Noida: A man has been arrested in Noida in Uttar Pradesh after he was found illegally wearing a police uniform in public places, officials said on Wednesday.
The defendant, around 35, in the past tried to be recruited in the police but failed.
However, he had told his family that he was elected in the police, the Deputy Commissioner of the Additional Police (Noida Central) Ankur Aggarwal.
“The man has been identified as a Singh Krishnaveer.
Singh was held on Tuesday night during check by the officials of the Ecotech 3 police station when he was in a police uniform, but it looked suspicious,” said Aggarwal.
“When his cellphone was questioned, the police found his photo in the police uniform and army uniform.
The local police immediately learned that he was illegally wearing a uniform,” he said.
Singh, a native of the Mathura district above, has lived in Surajpur, Greater Noida while and has been found that he will roam the police uniform locally, the officer said.
A FIR has been put forward at the Ecotech 3 police station and further processes are taking place, he added.
