Mumbai: Khar-based entrepreneurs lost Rs 65,500 from their credit cards in online fraud while trying to place an online order for pizza (worth around RS 450) on the contact number he met during internet search on July 12.
The victim Manish Goswami (59) found that he had been cheated only when the Citibank executive called the number and asked if he had transferred back-to-back online funds for any online purchase.
GOSWAMI filed a complaint with the Khar Police Station for the instructions provided by the Bank.
The incident occurred around 7pm on July 12 when Goswami planned to order pizza.
“Goswami has fallen into the victim to the general operandi mode where the scamster has added their contact numbers with the contact details of Francesco’s Pizzeria Online (who are not aware of abuse).
