Men Posing as IPS Officers, Cheat Companies from 37 Crores

Gurgaon: a cheater, claiming to be an IPS officer posted at the National Security Guard (NSG), Manesar, postponed a Gurgaon-based construction company from Rs 37 Crore on behalf of construction contracts for various works on the NSG campus.
Imposter met with a complainant in the case on the NSG campus on several occasions and showed him his identity card, along with photos and designation, and work site, to win his belief and lure him into the tender process.
Suspected forged NSG seals to publish a letters alototment to the complainants to build internal roads, sewerage processing plants (STP), warehouses and housing complexes.
He claimed money from the company for each job allocated according to the tender clause.
On several occasions, the defendant returned money to the company too.
The defendant has also opened a bank account on behalf of the station “GC (Garrison Office) HQ, NSG, Manesar” and conducted all transactions through this account.
Clainant Davinder Yadav (55), a government contractor in the construction business, first met with the defendant, Praveen Yadav, in June 2021 on the NSG campus.
“During one of the meetings, he also showed an NSG identity card with a photo and his appointment as a group commander,” Yadav said.
“After that, I was left without a doubt because it was not even possible to enter the NSG campus without permission from a senior officer.” The first quote was sent on June 12, 2021, to build a peripheral road throughout 16.56 km on the NSG campus.
The complainant received another letter to build STP on July 23.
On September 2, he received a letter to build a warehouse on the NSG campus.
