New Delhi: A 20-year-old man and his friend allegedly stabbed someone in Mangolpuri Delhi for talking to his ex-girlfriend, police said on Wednesday.
Ashad aka Billa and his visitor who was arrested from Anand Vihar’s bus standing on Tuesday, they said.
According to the police, Ashad used to work as a boy in Delhi but during the Covid-19 locking, he returned to his home place at Kanpur Uttar Pradesh and rested with his girlfriend here.
When Ashad knew that Saif (23) came into contact with his ex-girlfriend, he came to Delhi in July and warned the victim to move away from him and did not call him.
Then, he returned to Kanpur.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (outside) Parvinder Singh said, “During the interrogation, the defendant acknowledged his crime and told the police that when Saif, despite the warning, did not stop calling his ex-girlfriend, he returned to Delhi five days before the incident and bought a driven blade and bought a blade.” On August 4, Ashad named Saif to the park with the help of his visit.
When the victim arrived there, the duo stabbed him and escaped from the place, said DCP.
Saif was taken to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead by a doctor, he said.
While stabbing Saif, the duo was also injured and after treatment at Safdarjung Hospital, both returned to Uttar Pradesh, added.
“Because the two suspects were native to Kanpur, a team was sent to their home but both were not found there.
Our team knew that the two had gone to Fatehpur at his stepbrother’s house in Ashad to seek financial assistance and once again moved to other locations Known, “said the senior police officer.
“After a long pursuit of more than 600 km through Agra, Kanpur, Fatehpur and Lucknow, the team finally received information in Barabanki that the two defendants had taken the bus to Delhi on August 9 and the same thing was established by CCTV footage, the officer said.
