Men stab guest workers to death

Coimbatore: Native Odisha is 44 years old, a construction worker, stabbed to death in Sakthi Nagar in Kamarajar Road here on Tuesday.
The police identified the victim as Basanta Malik from Adaspur.
He worked to build an udhayakumar contractor from Pillaiarpuram in Podanur and lived in a rented room in Sakthi Nagar, where the Sounderrajan, a professor of a private engineering college in Coimbatore, was building a house.
Sounderrajan has bought three wall painters, including M Dieshkumar, 25, from Dindigul, to paint a house two weeks ago.
“Dineshkumar suggested a sounderrajan, also a native dindigul, to sacrifice roosters in a new home for the welfare of his family.
The sounderrajan told him to sacrifice and cook meat in Malik’s room.
The painters do the ritual on Tuesday night and take meat to Malik’s room,” said an officer Police.
“Malik used to keep the distance from Dineshkumar when he used to insult him using obscene and offensive Trying to contact the Sounderrajan by telephone.
Dineshkumar who was angry stabbed Malik on his left chest.
Malik took a hammer and crashed into a dineshkumar, hurt his eyes, “the officer added.

The body was brought to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
Dineshkumar was accepted at a private hospital.
Police Saranlatur has registered a murder case and is investigating the incident.
