Vadodara: A 70-year-old widow who lives in Waghodiya was cruelly killed by his grandson on Wednesday after he refused to surrender to his land.
Defendant Vikram Nayak was arrested on the same night after he admitted strangling Vesti’s grandmother to death in anger.
According to the police, the elderly woman lived alone after her son died while nayak worked in Saurashtra.
About three days ago, the defendant returned to Waghodiya and he asked his grandmother to hand over the ownership of the land he refused.
The woman tells her that the land is only her and if she will give it, she will be left without another source of income.
Hearing this, an angry nayak dragged the Septuagenarian from his house and struggled mercilessly before strangling him to death.
The neighbor saw Vesti’s body lying outside his home and told the police who suspected it was a natural death at first.
