Mangaluru: A 62-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday to shrink 18 places of worship in the city.
The defendant Devdas Desai, came from Unkal in Hubballi and lived in Kotekar, arrested based on CCTV recordings obtained after the Koragajja Temple in Marnamampta was found to be lowered on Tuesday, said Police Commissioner City Mangaluru N Shashi Kumar.
Koragajja is a respected demigod in Tulunadu.
