Men were killed in a hit-and-run incident in Mumbai

Mumbai: A 45-year-old man was hit by an unknown vehicle on the eastern outskirts of Ghatkopar in Mumbai, police said on Tuesday.
The incident took place near the Pramod Mahajan Park on Sunday night, said an official from the Tilak Nagar police station.
The victim Ashok Lodhe was walking home when the vehicle was unknown to hit him and leave, he said.
Lodhe rushed to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead, he said, adding that the police examined CCTV recordings from the area to identify the wrong vehicle.
Cases under the 304-A section (causing death due to negligence) of the IPC and the relevant provisions of the motor vehicle law have been registered in this matter and further investigation is taking place, the official said.
