Tirupur: City Police have registered a case against Shiv Sena officials to promote hostility between different groups by observing the birthday of Nathuram Godse’s death, Killer Mahatma Gandhi, on November 15.
Thirmaurugan Dinesh, 30, State President Shiv Sena Wing Youth Wing Yuva Sena, has organized an event at the party office in Rakkiyapalayam.
More than 10 participated in the function and bouquet of Godse.
They also raised inflammatory slogans, police said.
Nallur police registered a case against Thirurugan underneath, 505 (1) (b), 505 (1) (c) and 505 (2) of the Indian punishment code.
