Thiruvananthapuram: Kilimanoor Police here on Thursday ordered a 45-year-old man on charges of attempted murder after he allegedly attacked his wife and hurt it critically.
The police identified the defendant as Dilepin Kumar, a resident of Ponganad.
The arrest has not been recorded.
Police said Dileep Kumar was booked after receiving complaints from his wife, Sandhya.
He accused that the defendant brutally attacked him on February 5 following a domestic dispute.
He allegedly accused branding logs.
When he tried to run away, he kicked him and stepped on his stomach.
He also hit his head using a wooden log, causing a serious injury behind his head.
He underwent treatment at the hospital.
He approached the police on Thursday with complaints after his health improved.
The police said the defendant fled after the case registered the police identified both of them accused of Manu, 36, from Malaikonam and Sajeev, 31, from Palottukonam.
The police said the two were accused, who arrived on a motorcycle, threw coarse explosives at Sachu’s house, an automatic rickshaw driver with a criminal record, on Thursday.
Sachu was not at home during the incident.
The two men were involved in battle with Sachu a few days ago in Palottukonam.
Sachu, who was involved in Peddling marijuana, had tried to attack Manu and Sajeev using a knife.
The police then registered a case against Sachu.
They also warned Manu and Sajeev not to reply, but they finally ignored this warning.
