Mangaluru: Umarulla Bashith from UPPALA in Kerala, who was ordered to arrive at her bridal home in Salethoor in Vittal, dressed like a Koragajja during a wedding ceremony on January 6, was arrested on Thursday.
Based on the tip-off that Bashith tried to go abroad, Police Dakshina Kannada arrested him at Cochin International Airport.
The police have arrested two people in connection with the incident in Tulunadu.
They are Ahmed Mujitab, 28, a resident of Mangalpady and Meideen Munish, 19, from payment on Kasaragod District.
Vittal police have ordered a case, based on a complaint that the incident has harmed religious sentiment.
This case was registered under section 153a (promoting hostility between different groups for religious reasons) and 295 (hurt or disrupted places of worship with intention to insult any religion) from the IPC.
