New Delhi: The Asian Champions Cup of Men who will be held in Dhaka this October has been postponed until December, hosted Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) confirmed on Friday.
“The Asian Champions Cup will be held in the month (early December) December 12, 2021,” Bhf said in response to Timesofinda.com request in the letter.
The decision was on the card because the Covid situation in a continental child was far from satisfying; And travel restrictions, coupled with quarantine requirements, are not ideal for multi-team international events to be arranged.
Some attempts to contact the CEO of the Asian Hockey Federation, Tayyab Ikram, did not cause a response.
The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 1 to 9.
In all possibilities, the Asian Women’s Cup will also be postponed.
However, it cannot be officially confirmed at this stage.
Women’s tournament is scheduled for October 24 to 31 in Donghae, South Korea.
