Thiruvananthapuram: Three violent crimes against elderly residents were reported in the district in just a 12-hour range from Thursday night to Friday morning.
While two victims survived with serious injuries, one met with bloody purpose.
The three crimes are carried out by close family members.
The case was reported below the Naruvamoodu limit, AryanCode and Neyar Dam.
Annamma, 91, from Mottamoodu was the one who died below the Naruvamoodu police station.
His death came in his own daughter’s own, Leela, 63.
Police said the crime occurred around 7am on Friday.
Leela, who was studied to be personal with a history of mental illness, allegedly hacking nonagenarian people using machetes on the road outside their homes.
” Leela hacked her mother repeatedly in her head, broke the skull, “said an officer who was bound to the Naruvamoodu Police Station.
He said the crime was done in a terrible way.
After confirming death, Leela even tried to burn the body in place.
He covered Annamma’s body.
Using clothes and firewood taken from home and then burn it.
When the police reached the place after being told by the neighbors, the body was still burning.
Leela told the police that he committed a crime because his mother did not let him sleep for the past few days.
The police suspected that Leela did not In his sense when he committed murder.
According to neighbors, Leela had suffered a prolonged mental illness.
Even though he was married, her husband allegedly left him because of his illness.
His daughter’s breakup also lived separately.
Leela is one of five children Annamma.
In the second incident of Lekha Biju Ottaste wife Kharamangalam, was the person who faced an attack on his residence below the AryanCode police station.
His son-in-law, Ullas allegedly hit his head with a hammer and then proceeded to hacked it in the ear and hands using machetes.
The police said Ulla married his uncle’s mother of her Biju, Varsha.
He is an alcoholic who often uses domestic violence.
Because Varsha chose to leave him and start living with his parents.
On Friday morning around 7 in the morning, Ullas reached Varsha’s house.
Because he brought dangerous weapons, the family refused to let him enter.
This immediately made a fight and at close range he attacked Lekha.
Ulla who was injured too injured when Biju spoiled him behind his head using a shovel handle in a desperate effort to save his wife.
The third case was reported below the boundary of the Neyyar Dam police station on Thursday night.
A 57-year-old man suffered a serious injury after his 29-year-old son attacked him using a stone.
Siddique, a cancer patient, is often suspected of using dirty language at home that targets her daughter-in-law.
His son Nishad told the police that it was a quarrel using obscene language on his wife which led to the attack on his father.
