Gurgaon: Citizens wake up to the cold morning on Tuesday, with thick fog layers wrap several parts of the city.
The minimum temperature dropped to 6.9 degrees Celsius, the notch above normal, from 8.7 degrees Celsius the previous day.
In the morning hours, commuting faces difficulties because of reduced visibility.
However, the situation began to increase from 7.30 in the morning.
With a bright sky during the day, residents are sunbathing in the sun after watching a few gloomy days.
The maximum temperature rises to 16 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal.
That’s 15.4 degrees Celsius on Monday.
An Indian Meteorology Department official (IMD) said that the minimum temperature tended to fall two-three degrees Celsius in the coming days.
The IMD has issued an orange warning for South Haryana, including Gurgaon and Faridabad, predicts solid for a very dense fog on Wednesday, with the possibility of cold waves and cold day conditions.
It has suggested commuting to use fog lights and drive carefully in the morning and night.

According to the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), the visibility fell to 50 meters at the Palam starting at 5:30 a.m.
to 9:30 a.m.
Safdarjung witnessed a moderate fog with a 500 meter visibility.
“This is the first time in this season when solid fog was observed for a long duration.
