“Rainfall continued from the previous 24 hours under the sway of low-pressure region formed because of the usage of cyclone Yaas.
The rain and cloud cover also contributed to fall in maximum temperatures by 9-12 C.
The remnant of cyclone Yaas was current in the kind of cyclonic storms across east Uttar Pradesh and also a trough line shaped beneath its sway and expanded towards east,” said Amit Sinha, an officer in Patna Meteorological Centre.
He also added,”Under the impact of both weather systems, north Bihar will be very likely to get light to moderate rain on Sunday.
” The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also said in its own all-India book issued by 8pm on Saturday that scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is possible with isolated thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind in Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in Bihar through the subsequent 24 hours.
“Rise in temperatures amid prevailing high degree of humidity from the air due to rain over the past two days can result in formation of thunderclouds together with lightning in several places during the following two times,” Amit said.
