Hyderabad: cutting his political teeth as Activist Yuva Morcha at BJP in 1980, Gangapuram Kishan Reddy, Lok Sabha MP from Secunderabad, has created history by becoming the first minister of cabinet from Telangana after the establishment of the State in 2014.
Kishan Reddy on Wednesday was appointed on Wednesday’s cabinet Workers from the State Minister of Home Affairs.
Kishan Reddy is allocated culture and tourism portfolio.
Thanking the voters of the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency, he said that he would try his best to work to realize Telangana’s dream together with serving the country.
Even though Bandaru Dattatreya was a minister at NDA-1, he was not ranked cabinet.
Interestingly, after Sudini Jaipal Reddy and Renuka Chowdary from Telangana, who is the Minister of Cabinet at the UPA-2, Kishan Reddy managed to the cabinet of unions from the state after seven years.
He was previously the leader of the MLA and BJP floors three times in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana meeting which was not divided.
He also served as President of BJPS in the state that was not divided and also Telangana.
In recognition of his commitment which did not slip on the party, he was appointed as the National President of the Party of Youth, BJYM in 2002.
Kishan Reddy conducted ‘Poru Yatra’ 22 days – Traveling 3,500 kilometers through 986 villages and 88 Constitutional Assemblies emphasized the need for Telangana’s formation.
Closely close to Venkaiiah Naidu vice president, Kishan Reddy was the second cabinet minister after Naidu in the BJP government of Telugu countries.
