Chennai: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) will return to the working day schedule for daily train operations starting Saturday.
In the release on Friday, CMRL said it would follow the working day schedule from Saturday where the train was run from 5:30 a.m.
to 11:00 with a rush hour frequency of five minutes between 8am and 11:00 to 8:00.
On Sundays, it will follow a week’s or public schedule for a frequency of 10 minutes from 7am to 10pm.
Earlier this week, CMRL followed a Sunday or a national holiday schedule for a week when the train was operated from 7am to 10pm with a frequency of 10 minutes due to rain.
But regular commuters, most of the office visitors, complained of density, especially during rush hour, because they cannot follow the social distance of Covid-19.
