Nagpur: Immediately, the Metro will start running between Sitabuldi and Kasturland Station via Zero Mile Freedom Park Station.
As reported by TOI, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMR) is at the city inspection station and ongoing work.
According to press releases issued by Mahametro, CMR has allowed the agency to run the train in the Sitabuldi and Kasturchand Park section and also certify the freedom of Zero Mile and Park Park Kasturgand.
“Commissioners and his team have made an investment between August 3 and 5 and has expressed satisfaction of passenger facilities and safety arrangements from two stations,” the release was stated.
According to officials, the train has been running between Khapri to the Sitabuldi Metro Station on the orange line and in the aqua line between Sitabuldi and Local Nagar.

The two stations are located in the historic part of the city which has an iconic structure such as Citabuldi fortress, Vidhan Bhavan, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), etc.

Park Freedom Zero Mile Station will be a 20-story building that has four parking levels.
There will be 13 commercial floors above the station.

In other good news for this city, Mahametro is converting around 40,000 square feet around Zero Mile Station to a public park called ‘Freedom’ to commemorate the independence of the 75th country.
The park will consist of a historical wall, war trophy – T55 Battle Tank, Amphitheater, Metro Nagpur Information Center, Stepped Plaza, Glory Arch, Plaza Seating and Plaza Entrance Area.
