Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) targets a trial in a nine-kilometer long priority corridor (between IIT and Motijheel) from the Kanpur Metro project in November this year.

A total of 39 trains 3 metro coaches must be supplied to the Kanpur Metro Project corridor including corridor-I – from IIT to Naubasta and Corridor-II – from the Agricultural University of Barra-8 Chandra Shekhar.
Operations on priority corridors will be executed with eight trains.
This train has been designed with the help of Bombardier Germany and design experts at the Hyderabad Bombardier office.
This Metro Train ‘Make In India’ is equipped with a communication-based train control system (CBTC) for automatic train operation.
This ultramodern train has a sophisticated design for safe operation, energy efficiency and passenger comfort.
This train will also be equipped with a CO2 sensor-based air conditioning system to save energy during operation.
The final design work has been completed with active pursuit by UPMRC after a series of interactions and meetings with German Bombardier and Indian Bombardier.
