Times News Network Kanpur: Kanpur Metro Train was tested on the test trajectory located inside the depot on Monday night.
The train took three rounds on the 650 meter-long test track and thus ran 3,900 meters.
The testing was carried out before the RDSO trial on the main route scheduled to be held in mid-November.
After the trial was successful, Kanpur’s dream had a Metro train service would come true.
Kanpur Metro Train is likely to start commercial operations both at the end of December or early January.
Train testing also managed on Tuesday.
The metro staff score was present to watch the train scribble.
They said the dream came true because their hard work was carried out in the past two years.
Managing Director, UPMRC, Kumar Keshav said, “Kanpur Metro ran on the test lane on the depot on Monday night.
This is very satisfying and fulfilling the achievement of the UPMRC team.” There is no substitute for hard work, he said and added “We will achieve a greater goal in the next few months”.
The Three-Coach metro train looked very beautiful when it began to move in a trial after the driver buzzed his horn and turned on the lights.

Each Metro train will have a capacity of 974 passengers.
A total of eight metro trains will run in priority corridors after the Metro service is officially launched.
This train will run in a priority corridor of 9 km-km between IIT and Motijheel.
Priority corridors have nine stations.
