Coatzacoalcos: A vehicle packed with US bound migrants traveling with a smuggler crashing into East Mexico on Wednesday, leaving three Hondurans died and 23 who was injured, said the authorities.
This vehicle experienced a mechanical failure on the highway in the state of Veracruz, according to the National Guard report seen by AFP.
Migrants “traveled with crowded conditions, trucks overloaded and loss of tires,” civil protection sources do not want to be named.
According to investigators, the vehicle caught fire after turning upside down.
Migrants fled poverty and violence at risk of being victims of organized accidents and crime when they crossed Mexico on their way to the United States.
Last month four Cuban migrants were bound by US dead and eight injured in other traffic accidents on Veracruz.
