Mexico: Mexico said that Thursday had made the biggest seizure from Fentanyl purely in its history, after five alleged drug defects were arrested in the lab along with 260 pounds (118 kilograms) from synthetic opioids.
Fentanyl 50 times stronger than heroin, and only a small amount needed to make fake oxycodone pills.
The Mexican army said the lab was broken on October 28 in the northern city of Culiacan may make around 70 million blue fentanyl pills every month for the Sinaloa cartel.
“This pure fentanyl seizure is considered the biggest in history,” said the Department of Defense in a statement.
The laboratory and warehouse used to store precursor chemicals used to make Fentanyl stretch more than five buildings.
Most chemicals are imported from abroad, usually China or India.
The alleged ringleader of the operation and four legs had been ordered to be held a delayed trial.
Known as “Oxy Mexico,” fake pills are very poorly produced so that some contain almost no fentanyl, while others contain deadly doses.
The death of opioid overdose in the United States reached around 50,000 in 2019, with most of them associated with synthetic opioids.
The surprise of the Mexican army from Fentanyl and Methamphetamins has a nose-dived in recent months before Bust 28 October was announced
