New Delhi: Morris India Garage Will Reflashing or Mapping the Software in About 14,000 BS6 Hector variants after government-owned test agents found that this model sample failed in the production test (COP).
The source said the international center for automotive technology (ICAT) in Manesar in Haryana conducted tests on several samples taken from the company’s factory for testing.
They add vehicles do not delete COP vis-vis-vis types of approval types for machines for this variant.
The source said the test found hydrocarbon variations and NOx emissions.
The testing body has referred to this problem to the Ministry of Road Transportation.
“It was found that there were several problems with software.
This problem can be fixed,” said the source.
COP is a means to prove the ability to produce a series of products that are exactly the same as specifications, performance, and other requirements described in the type of approval documentation.
Companies in India have so far sold more than 60,000 mg of hector since it was launched.
It consists of BS4 and BS6 versions.
“During the latest test, it was found that the BS6 DCT had several variations in the HC – NOx value.
We investigate and find that there are some problems with certain software and we find a solution that has been verified by the authority,” MGI spokesman said.
The company said it expects to get formal approval from the solution of the relevant authority immediately.
“We will notify customers (around 14,000) and will reflash software updated.
We plan to complete reflashing in December 2021, Covid allows,” said the spokesman.
The software will be reflash every time the customer carries a car to the dealer.
