Bicholim: With MGP gives a party ticket to the former BJP MLA Pravin Zantye, President Blok Mayem Party Millind Pilgonkar and his supporters on Tuesday resigned from the party.
Pilgaonkar said that he would fight as independent of the Mayem constituency.
He said that even though as loyal workers for the past 17 years, MGP was absent for new participants.
Zantye joined MGP after BJP denied that Mayem tickets and vice versa were nominated by the Premendra Shet who left MGP to join BJP.
Pilgaonkar said BJP did not consider its proposition to distribute BJP Mayem tickets to him.
