New Delhi: The ministry of home has suspended a foreign funding license from a leading NGO related to the influential Sunni leader, Sheikh Awoobacker Ahmed, after detecting violations of the provisions of the Regulatory Law on foreign contributions, 2010 (FCRA).
The Suspension Bars Markazul Ighasathil Kairiyathat Hindiyya – who has received the contribution of Rs 146-Crore from abroad in the last three years – from receiving funds from international donors without previous permission.
The main violations quoted by MHA is the transfer of foreign contributions by Markazul.
