MIA: Domestic cargo service continues after Blas Clearance

Mangaluru: After obtaining permission from the Civil Aviation Security Bureau (BCAS), domestic cargo services continued at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Saturday.
The service has stopped for several months, because of the objections raised by the customs department.
On the first day, 200kg cargo was received at Mia from Bengaluru.

It was stopped on February 1, after the objection was raised by customs.
Meanwhile, domestic cargo services handled by private companies were stopped in June 2020.
After that, he shifted to an international cargo terminal for a year, and once again stopped, because the objection was raised by the customs department.
Domestic cargo operations cannot be handled in international cargo facilities.
After the domestic cargo out-bound service really stopped, transferred to Kempegowda International Airport from Mia.
Cargo is accepted at the cargo terminal, and a separate sector.
Then, sent by the road to Kia, and then sent throughout the country.
This setting delays the service for more than 12 hours.
“All this hassles will forget, once the domestic cargo out service continues to MIA.
About 90% of domestic cargo received in MIA comes from the security press in Manipal,” added Selva Kumar.Sources also added that there was a proposal to switch to international cargo facilities Near domestic cargo facilities.
