Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella invites Apple to be a part of Windows 11

Microsoft took the wraps off its latest version of Windows at an online event yesterday.
While Windows 11 has a host of new features, one that has caught the eye is of Android apps running on Windows.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella spoke more about Windows 11 in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
Nadella was asked in the interview about whether Microsoft would integrate its software and services with the iPhone.
Nadella said, “We’d love to make sure that it works better, we do everything we can.
Like anything Apple wants to do with Windows rather it’s iTunes, iMessage, or whatever, we welcome that.” He also said that Microsoft wants to make sure “our software runs great on Apple devices.” Microsoft has partnered with Amazon’s app store, which will allow Android apps to run and download on Windows 11.
Nadella also stressed that all apps are welcome to join in on Windows 11.
“We have the ability to have multiple marketplaces.
We want to have a great marketplace, but we also welcome other marketplaces.” During the online event, Nadella also took a ‘dig’ at Apple.
Apple is renowned to have a rather closed ecosystem and the Microsoft CEO said that “Today the world needs a more open platform, one that allows apps to become platforms in their own right.” It did seem like Nadella was hinting at Apple.
Apple is known to take 30% cut from apps on any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Microsoft has said that it will not charge anything from developers on Windows 11 and they are free to use any payment system they want to.
