Now, it has been revealed that Microsoft kills its office application for Chromebook.
According to a report with AboutChromebooks, Microsoft has confirmed that the application for Chromebook will be removed from the Google Play Store.
A Microsoft spokesman told publications, “In an effort to provide the most optimized experience for chrome OS / Chromebook customers, Microsoft Apps (Office and Outlook) will be transmitted to the Web (Office.com) on September 18, 2021.
This transition brings Access customers Chrome OS / Chromebook to additional features and premium.
Customers need to enter with their personal Microsoft accounts or accounts related to their Microsoft 365 subscription.
“This does not mean that Chromebook owners will not be able to use Microsoft applications.
It’s just that they will not be able to download it from the Google Play Store.
Microsoft will only offer an office on the Chromebook through its web application.
Users will need to use Office.com and Outlook.com from September 18 to access the office on Chromebook.
The Office application will continue to be available on Android from the Play Store.
