Microsoft has been looking to get the Xbox game on the Apple iOS platform.
To land an agreement, Lori Wright, Head of the Xbox business development, reportedly put a proposal for Apple for the same thing, according to the report on the verge.
According to the proposal, Apple must allow Microsoft to place individual Xbox game applications in the iOS store, which matches the decree but instead forcing users to download each game as an application separately (and thus eat storage), they will stream using the Xbox application Gaming pass.
The idea is to have the option to explore a large number of games without having to sacrifice on device storage.
For plans to work, Apple must enable Microsoft Streaming Technology in the Gaming Pass application, which will reduce game applications individually with a size of around 30MB instead of 150MB if streaming technology is inserted into each game.
The game will be flowed out of the Microsoft remote server.
As you guess, Apple rejects Microsoft’s proposal.
Wright is also said to have offered to make Xbox-Exclusifle available for iOS users.
“This will be a very attractive opportunity for iOS users to get access to this exclusive AAA title other than the pass pass game,” he wrote in an email seen by the threshold.
But it doesn’t help convince Apple who wants every match to be fixed separately.
According to the report, Apple said that Microsoft’s proposal did not comply with the guidelines of the App review, “specifically the requirements for using purchases in the application to unlock additional features or functions in an application.” Microsoft, on the other hand, denied that the purchase in the application was the cause behind Apple’s rejection of the proposal.
