Future surface devices may display chips specifically designed by Microsoft.
According to Linkedin’s list of work, the company is looking for a SOC architecture director.
LinkedIn job list does not specifically mention anything about special chips for surface devices.
However, based on previous reports from Frontton about Microsoft worked with AMD on a special chip arm.
It is also expected that Microsoft-AMD Custom-chip is expected to offer better graphics performance compared to what Qualcomm is currently offered with their arm-based chips.
The report also shows that special chips will be reported to display Cortex X1 Core and MRDNA 2 GPU along with Exynos 5G modem.
All details that were previously reported about Microsoft worked on special chips for future surface devices to roughly coincide with the current list of jobs.
