Microsoft is working on new updates for the video conference software that will make it easier for users to convey their ideas to the participants.
TechRadar reports that this new update will allow users to view participants in video calls and messages in chat simultaneously.
Giant software adds chat bubbles to online collaboration tools in June 2021 for users to get notifications about private messages sent during video calls.
This chat bubble appears as a floating notification on your display similar to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
Microsoft states that this chat bubble also helps make “chatting more important for conversations”.
As the newly introduced chat bubble allows team users to check their personal messages at the meeting, Microsoft is now working to develop the same thing for group chat.
This will allow everyone to engage in conversations that occur through text and ongoing during video calls, simultaneously.
The report also added that this new feature would allow all participants to check the chat sent during the meeting in front of the screen in the team room.
The Microsoft team room is a solution dedicated to video conferencing and previously known as the Skype room.
Every time the team’s display is set in a meeting room or conference, the participants can all focus on one screen at the end of the room rather than having to look down on each laptop.
Users who work from home will now be able to get involved in the conversation that takes place in the meeting room with chat bubbles on the team’s room screen.
Each participant can check their message in a chat along with a meeting video feed.
This new feature is expected to be released in April 2022 and may come in addition to a friendly company that applies hybrid work policies.
