Microsoft has begun launching a new update for the Swift Key keyboard application with the Cloud Clipboard synchronization feature.
The new Clipp Cloud allows users to copy text and attach it between Android and Windows devices.
SwiftKey Keyboard version 7.9.0.5 is now available for Android devices via the Google Play Store.
To use new features, users need to set SwiftKey as their default keyboard application and install the latest version.
Once installed, users can now copy and attach text between Android and Windows and vice versa.
Users will also need a Windows machine that runs Windows updates October 10, 2018 or newer.
As mentioned, the current update launches to the Android version of the keyboard and no official word from the company about adding the same to the iOS version.
This feature is turned off by default and the user must activate it manually to use the feature.
Steps to activate the SwiftKey Clipboard Clipboard feature to allow it to open the keyboard application settings and tap on the rich input option.
Then tap the clipboard and activate the history of the synchronization clip to the cloud.
That’s all, the cloud synchronization for the clipboard is now activated.
In Windows PC, Head to Settings -> System -> Clipboard -> Toggle on clipboard history – digging synchronization across the device.
