Microsoft is adding a photo editing feature to OneDrive on web and Android, as per a report by XDA Developers.
With the new update, you will be able to crop and rotate the photos and also make changes in colour and light in the photos.
Microsoft is rolling this feature out to only the personal accounts and only JPEG and PNG files are supported for this feature to work.
The company is planning to roll out this feature to business and school accounts soon and to the OneDrive app on iOS later this year.
The company has added some more features to OneDrive apart from the photo editing one like Chromecast support, a new folder that sorts out the photos by source and filtering the photos.
With the Chromecast support, you can now cast your photos and videos from your Android phone on a bigger screen.
Regarding the sources of the images the new folder is meant to sort out, you have social media, text messages, WhatsApp, screenshots and some other apps.
The feature is not live yet but expected to be rolled out within the coming two months.
Lastly, as mentioned above, you can now filter photos in OneDrive.com and OneDrive for Android.
This feature has been rolled out.
Microsoft is making a tradition of being late to the party and not even fashionably.
The photo-editing feature is no exception.
Earlier, the company had announced that its video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams will get an end-to-end encryption feature which is set to roll out in July.
As per the official webpage, “Teams will support an option to use end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for ad hoc 1:1 Teams VoIP calls, providing an additional option for conducting sensitive online conversations.
To support customer security and compliance requirements, IT will have full control of who can use E2EE in the organization.”
