Microsoft has released the August 2021 edition patch Tuesday.
The company released patch security updates on the second Tuesday of every month, making it patch Tuesday.
On August 2021 patch Tuesday, the company released patches for 44 vulnerabilities.
Of these, 7 is very important, 2 previously disclosed and 1 was being exploited according to Microsoft.
Thirteen patches are a vulnerability to execution of remote code while eight others revolve around the disclosure of information.
The affected tool includes Azure, Windows Update, Windows Print Spooler, .NET 5.0, Windows Media, Windows Defender, Remote Desktop Client, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Edge, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Word, and others.
One of the most important fillings released includes a vulnerability of the execution of a remote code of Windows Print Spooler, which was found in June.
“Today, we handle this risk by changing the default point installation and print installation and updating behavior to require administrator rights.
This update installation with the default settings will reduce the vulnerability that is publicly documented in Windows Print Spooler service.
This change will take effect with the installation Security updates released on August 10 2021 for all versions of Windows are supported, and are documented as CVE-2021-34481, “said the company in a blog post.
The company said that changes can affect Windows print clients in the scenario where users who are not previously elevated can add or update the printer.
