Microsoft has revealed a new computer mouse made of 20% recycled sea plastic and 100% plastic free boxes, can be reused at the surface event on Wednesday.
The most disturbing and proven impact of sea plastic pollution is seen between water species.
There are water species including seabirds, fish, whales and turtles of plastic waste mistakes to prey and swallow a very poisonous ocean plastic, others are entangled and dismissed.
Most of them die from starvation because their stomach is full of plastic debris.
This product will play hands in reducing sea plastic pollution, claiming Microsoft.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella promised that the technology giant aims to produce zero waste by becoming a negative carbon and positive water, on the last surface event.
He also mentions that sustainable change has been carried out in the material option used for products and packaging.
Nadella said, “If you are serious about innovation, you also have to be serious about accessibility for everyone, and the sustainability of our most limited resources – our planet.” In 2020, Nadella promised to make Microsoft Carbon negative in 2030, with a vision of canceling greenhouse gas emissions that all companies have been released throughout their lives in 2050.
Microsoft continues to be neutral carbon since 2012.
Microsoft has set goals to fill more water rather than the amount used by the company.
This will make it positive if they reach the target.
Microsoft Campus in Silicon Valley has a rainwater collection system in place and its own water treatment plant.
So, water that cannot be taken on this campus can be taken from recycled resources.
This will help the ground water level to refill.
Microsoft also reveals the surface of the duo 2, the pro 8 surface, surface 4 and laptop studio surface at the same event.
