NEW DELHI: Microsoft soft launched its dual-screen Android phone — Microsoft Surface Duo last year.
Now, it appears that the company is working on its successor, likely to be called Surface Duo 2.
Rumours suggest that Microsoft is working on Surface Duo 2 which is expected to come with a faster processor and offer a better camera.
It is also expected that the company might launch the smartphone in September or October this year.
Window Central has published the details about the upcoming Android phone from Microsoft.
According to the report, the Surface Duo 2 is said to ship with Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box.
The report suggests that the smartphone is expected to pack the most-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.
This also means that the Surface Duo 2 will also offer 5G support.
It is also said that the upcoming smartphone from Microsoft will offer a better and improved camera system.
The report mentions that the external camera array of the device will complement the internal camera.
The report states that the company is not going to experiment a lot in terms of design.
So, the Surface Duo 2 is also said to come with a similar design as its predecessor.
Recently, it was reported that Microsoft is reopening its experience stores.
The company will start selling products at its ‘Experience Centers’ in London, New York and Sydney starting next month.
Select Microsoft products will be made available on the stores starting July 1st.
“Our Microsoft Experience Centers were created to provide customers a way to experience our products in person.
We use these spaces to test and experiment, and continue to evolve the experience based on customer feedback.
Starting July 1st, customers will be able to purchase select Microsoft products at the New York, London and Sydney locations”, Travis Walter, Microsoft’s head of retail stores, in a statement to The Verge.
