Microsoft adds simple but important features for Xbox applications for Windows which will allow PC owners to find out whether the game they plan to install on the system they will run smoothly or not.
Verge reports that the feature is present in the form of a new label that shows whether the game will ‘play well’ in the current system configuration.
The new label is currently in the testing phase and is only available for certain games until now for a number of limited Xbox application users.
This feature is slowly expected to be played immediately to other users.
Also, to show these labels, the company runs a performance test on a large number of PC games to build and show this label.
The report also shows that the company is building a database for games for this label.
Until now, not many games are available that indicate this label and most of them still show ‘performance checks are not available’ and it seems the current Xbox application cannot run performance tests for games too.
However, the company allows users to manually test this label by selecting into Windows Gaming PurView and downloading the Xbox Insider application.
Despite the fact that this feature is limited, it will bring a big advantage for PC gamers that allow them to find out about their system capabilities to run certain games.
It is also important to note that the company has not explained whether this label is based on minimum game system requirements or recommended system requirements.
But it will definitely be the most feasible alternative for third-party solutions to test the game for certain system configurations.
