Microsoft has announced that it will launch a new operating system – Windows 11– for all PC users starting from October 5.
Windows 11 is announced previously and is only available to select users who are part of the Insider Windows program.
On October 5, all the qualified PCs will get Windows 11 updates for free when the laptop loaded with Windows 11 will also be available.
If you have a Windows 10 laptop or desktop, it is likely that your device will get Windows 11 for free.
Microsoft will distribute Windows 11 in the same way as Windows 10 launched five years ago.
However, your PC needs to meet the minimum hardware requirements that include 4GB RAM, 64GB of free storage space and 64-bit processor.
The requirements of hardware are quite a bit and most Windows 10 users will be eligible for free upgrades.
The new Windows 11 operating system from Microsoft has a new design and a number of new features.
There are new start menus and Microsoft has also changed the start button.
Good menu and buttons starting now centered on the taskbar.
The Start menu also has the last feature we see in Windows 8 – Live tiles.
Meanwhile, Microsoft said that it would not block users to install Windows 11 on a PC with an older CPU.
Users must rely on ISO files to manually install Windows 11 on a longer PC.
However, there was a catch.
Microsoft is likely not to provide Windows updates and security patches for non-compatible PCs.
