Thiruvananthapuram: Distribution of midday eating in government and school assisted will restart after school reopened on November 1, Minister of General Education V Sivankutty told the Assembly on Thursday.
“The government does not want students to remain hungry when schools are reopened.
The Ministry of Education argues that midday eating must be prepared in all schools and distributed among children by strictly obeying the Covid protocol.
Authorities are expected to make arrangements for the same thing,” he said .
Soap and sanitiser will be available at all schools.
Thermal scanner will also be available to assess student body temperature.
He said there would be a class at six days, except Sundays, and two students would be allowed to share a bench.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education tended to publish on Friday government commandments on guidelines followed by all stakeholders when schools reopened in 1.
November 1.
