Tokyo: The Indian men’s hockey team was driven 1-7 by World No.1 Australia in the second pool of the Tokyo Olympic match here on Sunday.
Australia looked dominant from onset and scored through Daniel Beale (10th minute), Joshua Beltz (26), Andrew Flynn Ogilvie (23rd), Jeremy Hayward (21), Blake scissors (40th, 42nd) and brand team ( 51) to send their second consecutive victory in the match.
Indian’s single goal came from the stick Dilpreet Singh in the 34th minute.
India had previously beaten New Zealand 3-2 in their opening match on Saturday.
The Manpreet side of Singh-LED will take place with Spain on Tuesday.
