Mikis Theodorakis, ‘Zorba’ composer and Rebel Marxis, died at 96

New York: Mikis Theodorakis, beloved Greek composer who put the music and life of political disobedience winning praise abroad and inspired millions of people at home, died Thursday.
He 96.
The cause is the arrest of cardiopulmonary.
Born Michail Theodorakis on the Aegean Island of Eastern Chios on July 29, 1925, he was exposed to music and politics from a young age.
He began writing music and poetry in his teenagery, just like Greece entering World War II.
During the war, he was arrested by the Italian colonial and Germany of the country because of his involvement in the left resistance group.
Some of the same groups opposed the government and the monarchy who led Greece after the war, which led to the civil war of 1946-49 where the Communist-supported rebels finally lost.
Theodorakis was imprisoned and sent to remote Greek islands, including the famous “re-education” camp on the small island of Makronissos near Athens.
As a result of the beating and severe torture, Theodorakis suffered broken limbs, respiratory problems and other injuries that disrupted their health for the rest of their lives.
He suffered from tuberculosis, thrown at a psychiatric hospital, and was the target of artificial execution.
Apart from trouble, he managed to establish himself as a respected musician.
He was most famous globally for the score for the film “Zorba The Greek” (1964), where Anthony Quinn starred in the essence of turmoil ethnic Greek; and “serpico” (1973), a film thriller starring Al Pacino.
