Damascus: Militants attacked the bus carrying soldiers on the desert highway in Central Syria, killing five troops and injuring 20, the country’s media reported Monday.

Officially blamed the Islamic state guerrilla for the attack.
Do militants have been active in Southern Syria and Central, despite losing territorial control in the country since 2019 .
The Assad government has repeatedly flattened the allegations against US forces and coalitions based in Al-Tanf.

Syrian observatories based in the UK for human rights, war monitors, said alleged militants ambushed military convoys, killing at least nine soldiers and members of the government ally militia.
The group said 15 was injured.
