Thiruvananthapuram: The 26th edition of the Kerala International Film Festival (IIFK), which is scheduled to be held from February 4, has been postponed due to the surge in Covid cases, said Minister of Film and Culture Cherian here on Monday.
The new date will be announced later, the Minister said.
He added that once the Covid situation increased, IFFK would be done.
The state government’s decision to decentralize the 25th edition of the IFFK edition has kicked one line in 2020.
IFFK was held in four locations, and the schedule was revised as a five-day festival at the location of five days at the location.
Politicians, festival followers and personalities related to the cinema consider the decision as a step to take the IFFK from Thiruvananthapuram.
