Chennai: Minister for Religious Deposits and Hindu Charity P K Sekar Babu on Thursday launched the Archanai Tamil scheme in Kabeleswarar Temple in Mylapore.
For the next worshipers, who want to pray and do pues in Tamil, can contact the appointed priest at the temple.
Similarly, this facility will be available at 46 other major temples in the state of Friday.
The department will place showers in such temples with contact numbers of priests, who do pujas and Archanais in Tamil.
The department has displayed the number of three priests to conduct a puzzle in Tamil at the Kabireeswarar temple.
Sri Ranganathar Swamy Temple in Srirangam, Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, Arulmigu Dhandayuthapan Temple at Madurai Temple and Peruvudaiyar in Thanjavur is among other big temples where Tamil Archanai will be done.
