NEW DELHI: With a goal to promote electrical freedom in the nation, the ministry of road transport and highways has recently issued a draft notification agreeing to exempt battery operated vehicles (BOV) in charge of charge for issue or renewal of registration certificate (RC).
The ministry in a statement stated that remarks from public and analysts are searched within a span of 30 days from the date of issuance of the draft telling.
“The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued a draft notification dated May 27, 2021, further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, agreeing to exempt BOV from payment of charges for the purpose of renewal or issue of RC and mission of new registration mark,” it stated.
This was advised to promote e-mobility, the announcement added.
