Minimum invasive heart surger saves two lives

Vadodara: A 21-year-old woman from Madhya Pradesh (MP), who was diagnosed with atrial septal defect, became Vadodara’s first patient to operate with a mini thoracotomy approach.
Atrial SeptaL defect is a congenital heart condition where blood flows between two upper spaces.
“We found patients to become patients who qualified for minimally invasive heart surgery (mic) and hence we did our first case and got truly promising results,” said Dr.
Parth Solanki, a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon (CTV) in Parul Sevashram.
Hospital.
“The surgery is equipped with no complications and after the success of the closure of the defect, he was dismissed on the fourth postoperative day,” Solanki said.
“A few days after this operation, another young patient who suffered from a mitral valve prolapse was also operated.
By using a minimal invasive approach and successfully discarded,” he said.
The mitral valve separates two rooms on the left side of the heart.
In the prolaps of mitral valves, the valve closes the bully (prolaps) into the upper left room (atrial) during each heartbeat.
“We have been interested in embracing the highest level of technology for all our patients.
The benefits of all these operations are expanded to all beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, where the patient gets such a treatment is fully free of charge,” said Dr Geetika Madan Patel, Director Medical at Parul Sevashram Hospital, adding that the mic has proven to be the best alternative to opening heart operations.
