Thiruvananthapuram: While the PWD Minister Mohammad Riyaz told the Assembly that the Road Reconstruction of the Shangumugham Airport will be completed in April 2022, the Transport Minister Antony Raju said on Wednesday that the work would be completed in February.
Antony Raju has corrected himself in terms of announcing the timeline.
Previously in September, he directed officials to complete work within four months – in January 2022.
Antony Raju said that the diaphragm wall was being built at a distance of 350 meters and a width of 0.5 meters.
The construction of the wall guide is now ongoing.
He said that work costs have increased due to bad weather.
The government has given Rs 6.39 Crore under the initiative of Rebuild Kerala for the project.
