PATNA: The ministry of the environment, climate and forest change division, Neeraj Kumar Singh, asserted on Thursday that there has been a enormous range of bamboo-based businesses in Bihar.
Addressing a meeting to assess the development of this Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, he asked the officers concerned to market bamboo farm by organising seminars, workshops and training programs.
“We can collaborate with unique sections for establishing bamboo businesses and creating various things like flooring tiles, tiles, toys and furniture.
This may also create new work opportunities,” Neeraj added and said,”As bamboo is grown thickly in certain areas of north Bihar such as Purnea, Supaul, Saharsa and Katihar, we ought to install businesses.” The minister claimed that the creation and promotion of honey being performed from the forest department had received a favorable response from the folks.
“There’s also a suggestion for utilizing several crazy plants with medicinal properties from the creation of medications and pickles,” he added.
The main secretary of the forest division, Deepak Kumar Singh, welcomed the ministry.
