Bhopal: In the midst of an excessive row wearing ‘hijab’ at the Education Institution in Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh Minister of Education Minder School Singh Parmar said on Tuesday that because the ‘hijab’ is not part of the uniform it must be prohibited.
He also said that “dress code” will be implemented in schools in MP to ensure that equality applies among students.
Parmar also accused “systematic efforts” made to disrupt the country’s environment on problems wearing ‘hijabs’ or headscarves.

This will be implemented from the next (academic) session,” said Parmar told reporters.
Replying to protest requests held in Karnataka for and opposes wearing a headscarf, Parmar said, “The hijab is not part of the uniform, so I think it must be banned”.
Asked about the use of ‘headscarves’ will be banned at educational institutions in Madhya Pradesh, the Minister said, “If this (wearing a headscarf) occurs, then it (prohibition) will be brought here too.
We will take appropriate action.”
He accused that systematic efforts were being made in India to describe education in the wrong way.
“In accordance with Indian beliefs, traditions must be followed at home.
Dressed code specified must be followed at school.
On the one hand, accidental efforts are being carried out to disrupt the environment in the country and in the state (Karnataka),” he said.
Protests for and against ‘headscarves’ intensified in universities in various parts of Karnataka after the state government last week issued a uniform of making orders prescribed by IT or the management of private institutions mandatory for pre-university schools and colleges throughout the country part.
