Kathmandu: Nepalese industry, trade and equipment Minister Gajendra Bahadur Hamal resigned on Sunday after controversy over his appointment, only 48 hours after the formal induction into the cabinet.
Hamal submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba who received it, according to the cabinet source.
Hamal, district level leader from the Nepal Congress, attracted many media attacks suggesting that he was appointed as Minister for the recommendation of the Cholendra Judge Chair Shumsher Rana, who happened to be his brother-in-law.
As a result, the height of Hamal also created anxiety in the Nepal congress, with many members who played steps that damaged democratic values.
Hamal is also not a lower or upper parliamentary house member.
However, there are provisions in the constitution that a person can become a member of the cabinet for a period of six months even if he is not a parliamentary member.
According to sources, Hamal has resigned after facing pressure without stopping over his appointment.
“At present, news spreads in various media outlets and the lawyers are not fairly misinterpreted the promise of my meeting, and such news has evaluated my years of struggle for democracy, legal supremacy, and the principle of separation of state power.” However, since the question of the appointment I have grew up, I have resigned from the ministerial position because it is inappropriate for me to remain a minister amid speculation like that, “Hamal wrote in his resignation letter.
Hamal is one of the 18 ministers who are appointed By Prime Minister Deuba on Friday, almost three months after he took the office on July 13.
Deuba became Prime Minister after the constitutional bench led by the Chairman of the Judge Rana had restored the representative council, which was previously dissolved by the Premier KP Shara Oil Esthilhhhe.
